Lightpainting

Photography No Comments

I thought I would try my hand at lightpainting again last night. I planned a real nice shot with me and some props. So I set up the camera and tripod, I set up the umbrella and flash, basically I had everything prepared for the shot. I got in position to get familiar with my surroundings so that I didn’t get hurt in the dark. It was at this moment that it hit me… I have no way to fire the flash remotely.

I decided not to give up. Instead of devising a some Strobist/McGyver way to fire my flash with an electrical cord, child’s walkie-talkie and 10 “D” batteries, I opted to just try something else. These images are the only ones that didn’t look stupid turned out somewhat.
