MasterWriter 2.0 and Xsong

If you write lyrics and you are not familiar with MasterWriter, you should be. MasterWriter is the single most valuable tool for lyric writing. masterWriter provides various modules like:
*Word Families
*Parts of Speech
*Phrases
*Rhymes
*Pop-Culture dictionary
*A regular dictionary
*Thesaurus
*A song data base
*The ability to record/import a scratch track
all very, very useful when trying to write a song.

MasterWriter finally came out with an updated version. The old version looked like a DOS program, not that graphics make your song, but it sure wasn’t very inspiring. After using the new version I am quite impressed.

I am also looking at a very promising song writing program called Xsong. MasterWriter is tough to beat when it comes to lyrics, but Xsong isn’t out yet so it is hard to compare. Xsong appears to be more of an overall song approach. Lyrics and music. I will keep you posted on what I find.
