More snow comes beauty

We have been having more snow here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon… more than I ever remember in years past. A few days ago I decided when the next storm came in I was going to head out and get some local photos. The next day I did. We had just had about 3 inches fall through the night and I wanted to beat all the footprints of the day. I headed to the Gazebo to get my composition for the “Gazebo – Winter” photograph (part of a 4-season set). I was lucky enough to get there before any footprints showed up. It was beautiful. I then decided to head into the woods along the river and take a shot or two. I actually made quite a few compositions I was pleased with.

After leaving the river I traveled out into the fields of the valley to see if I could get anything else of beauty. I did capture a group of trees that was pretty, but the road was so icy I had to head back. All in all it was wonderful to capture the essence of nature in it’s winter form right here at home. The pictures are up now in the gallery for all to see. Enjoy!
