More snow comes beauty

We have been having more snow here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon… more than I ever remember in years past. A few days ago I decided when the next storm came in I was going to head out and get some local photos. The next day I did. We had just had about 3 inches fall through the night and I wanted to beat all the footprints of the day. I headed to the Gazebo to get my composition for the “Gazebo – Winter” photograph (part of a 4-season set). I was lucky enough to get there before any footprints showed up. It was beautiful. I then decided to head into the woods along the river and take a shot or two. I actually made quite a few compositions I was pleased with.

After leaving the river I traveled out into the fields of the valley to see if I could get anything else of beauty. I did capture a group of trees that was pretty, but the road was so icy I had to head back. All in all it was wonderful to capture the essence of nature in it’s winter form right here at home.
