Welcome to The Scout Blog Log

IHC-Scout No Comments

Here you will find posts that log the history as well as the progress of our IHC 1972 Scout II. The original Scout is a 2-wheel drive unit. It had a V-304 engine with a Torqueflite 727(as of today it still does). This vehicle was in mint condition when purchased (June 1997) from the original owner, who purchased it from an International dealer in Missoula, Montana. Over the years age has deteriorated a few things and I have replaced the water pump, plugs, wires, cap, rotor and had the carb rebuilt… That is it as of April 25, 2009.

My goal at this point is to convert it to a 4×4, maybe replace the 304 with one of my 345′s, fix a few rust spots, strip and repaint the vehicle and restore most everything else. You may also wish to view the gallery of photos that we have prepared which include photos of the progress.

I appreciate any IHC enthusiast commenting anywhere where comments are allowed. For those that want more help with their projects, head over to IHonlynorth and the IHonlynorth Tech Forums.
